The Greenleaf Garfield Mansion
This is the Garfield Mansion from Greenleaf. The Garfield is the largest model that Greenleaf makes and is surely one of the most impressive dollhouses to be found anywhere. In the pictures below you will see how we had to deconstruct the house to remove excess glue and clean the interior, remove the roof, and porch along with a couple walls. We also had to remove all windows since many were broken when we picked up this house. You will also notice how we had to fill in the wood around the windows after removing all of the glue. We then had to prep and prime the interior for decorating. After that we gave the exterior a fresh coat of yellow paint. We have been working hard upgrading the features on the house as well as adding custom touches. We upgraded the windows with the Garfield upgrade kit (a $325 value add) so that all windows that could be made working windows are now working windows. The three oval windows have been customized to faux stainglass windows with a beautiful cream colored resin frame with a rose design instead of the standard wood framing. The wrap around porch was also modified, adding new porch posts and utilizing the exisiting railings. Another unique feature that we added to customize the house was the addition of molding on the tower to frame out each section as well as adding new filigree designs under the tower roof. We added dentil molding on the sides of the home and front to accentuate its unique styling. We also took out an inside wall on the first floor allowing for a large great room. Faux brick has also been added to the bottom of the home to simulate a foundation. Beautiful yellow roses have been added to the trellise outside the kitchen. The inside will be left primed for the new owner to decorate. This house is currently being shingled.
